Hvens landscape is crossed by dirt roads and bike paths that lead down to the idyllic harbours. There are many ways to get around Hven so let transportation be part of the experience.
Bring your own bike on the ferry or rent one of the beautiful yellow bicycles, characteristic of Hven. Book an electric golf cart or an electric bicycle, the ideal means of transport if you are walking-impaired, will not use your energy on a normal bicycle up and down the islands slopes or be dependent on bus schedules and bus stops. For a different experience hire a horse-drawn carriage, or simply jump on the local bus which runs its route around the island several times a day.
Hven measurres 4.5 km x 2.4 km so it can also easily be explored with a quiet stroll and with the size the island you can easily get around the island in a day.

Enjoy a fantastic boat trip through the harbor of Copenhagen and further up the Sound between the Danish and Swedish coastlines. The ferry departs from Havnegade in Copenhagen. During high season the ferry departs on daily basis. The trip takes around 90 minutes.
VENEVENT – GOLF CARTS
Electrically powered, environmentally friendly golf carts, an ideal mode of transport for 2 people on an island tour. Venevent is situated down towards Backafallsbyn. Jump on the bus in Bäckviken and driver takes you right to the door.

Ivans Horse and Carriage on Hven is the place for horse enthusiasts. Here it is possible to get around the island on arranged guided tours by horse carriage (remmalag) as well as individual guided horse riding tours.
HVENS BICYCLE RENTAL
Rent one Hven’s distinctive yellow bicycles. With a selection of over 1,000 yellow bicycles there are bikes of all sizes and with various accessories. You find the bicycle rental at the top of the ‘backafall’ in Bäckviken.
Regular bus connections with ‘Skånetrafiken’. The bus runs according to arrival and departure by the ferry in Bäckviken. The route goes along the main road passing the Tycho Brahe-museum, the whiskey distillery Spirit of Hven and further on to Kyrkbacken…. and return!
